Working mom – Just say this word once to yourself and see how u feel.
Forget about guilt for a minute and ask this question to you.
If you are getting introduced to some new people, what you will do?…… share the name, where u r from? How many kids? ….and what’s the next question? Are u working? When you answer this question, how do u feel? Be honest.
When I married and came to this country, almost most of the time people hit me with this question.
I was like….what did I do? Why did I got married? Is my life end up being a homemaker (now at least I’m matured enough to say this word)? If this is the case why my dad spend so much lakhs for my college, ecommerce, java and oracle courses… But seriously my dad did make a good choice by giving my hand to this wonderful person……of course I’m talking about my husband(duhh!)
He always told me patiently….wait….God really has a good plan for you. The next year God blessed us with this amazing, incredible, cute baby. Wow………I’m a Mother….I never imagined myself as a MOM till that day. It is a beautiful feeling which all girls will go thru one day. I totally forgot about my career dream and spend each and every single moment with my baby…..ahhhhhh….lucky me!
When this little boy turned 3, I got an opportunity to start my career. I was so excited. Now its time for my baby to explore the world without mommy and daddy for sometime in the day.
You know nowadays when I meet other moms, especially Indian moms they will be amazed to see how I’m managing everything…..that’s because I’ve a wonderful husband who is always ready to pitch in and help me with the household works. My morning always starts with his fresh coffee/tea. Early mornings in our house is always busy or should I say hectic! But anyway we have a routine schedule for weekdays which keep us stress free.
It’s just the understanding between you and your family that makes your journey peaceful and happy!
Excellent Post BeeMom. I love your perspective and it’s very much true your partner makes a difference. Lucky are those who have an understanding and supportive spouse. Iam one of those lucky ones. My morning starts with my best half’s tea as well:)-
An organised schedule makes the journey easy. Not all of us have the right tools/advice to begin with. That’s the main purpose of this blog. Sharing , helping and supporting moms with our real life experiences.
It’s a great start.Iam all excited to see the posts . Keep it going.
